Presentation Title: Indoor Air Quality and Ventilation Design

Hello Members and Friends of ASHRAE,

Please come join us for our February ASHRAE meeting located at Lasso Gaucho Brazilian Steakhouse! Our speaker this month is enVerid filtration product expert, Anurag Goel. He will be presenting on Indoor air quality and ventilation design Tuesday (02/21/2023) evening starting at approximately 6:00 P.M. Our meeting will include a spread of food for attendees to enjoy!

Presented by Anurag Goel, enVerid Filtration Product Expert

Anurag is a passionate engineer and writer, focused on sustainable building design and operation. He has 10+ years of professional experience performing building systems design, energy audits, facility condition assessments, utility incentive analyses, LEED certification, and commissioning. Anurag has a background in mechanical engineering and sustainable design with significant energy modeling and energy analysis experience. He is proficient with energy management, capital planning, energy code compliance, and project management. Anurag also has extensive industry experience designing HVAC systems that contribute to enhanced indoor air quality using the ASHRAE 62.1 Indoor Air Quality Procedure (IAQP). Anurag is involved in the ASHRAE sspc 90.1 committee – where he recently contributed towards updates to the energy cost budget (ECB) method. Fun fact about Anurag – he ran the Marine Corps Marathon in October 2022 and enjoys all things outdoors.

    1. attendees will identify innovative design strategies that contribute directly towards improved indoor air quality and energy efficiency.
    2. Understand the implications of improved indoor air quality and energy efficiency on compliance with ASHRAE Standard 62.1, ASHRAE Standard 90.1, LEED Rating System, WELL Rating System, and the International Building Codes
    3. Compare and contrast the economics associated with conventional design strategies that require increased amounts of ventilation air to maintain enhanced indoor air quality with respect to innovative design strategies such as the use of molecular air cleaning systems.
    4. Measurement and verification strategies through continuous monitoring to ensure successful implementation of project indoor air quality and energy measures.
