  2. Identify common issues associated with rooftop equipment and supports
  3. Identify the minimum code requirements for rooftop equipment supports per the International Building Codes and ASCE-7:
    • Gravity Loading
    • Lateral Loading
    • Uplift Loading
  4. Discuss how to handle rooftop supports as a Deferred Submittal or Delegated Design
  5. Examples Projects

Presented by Robb Davis, P.E.

Robb has been with MIRO Industries since 2010. While with MIRO Robb has been responsible for structural design/evaluation for project specific loading and design requirements, technical sales, and technical literature including specifications, and data sheets. Over the last 10+ years MIRO Industries has seen steady growth in projects requiring sealed submittals addressing specifically wind and seismic loading considerations. Robb’s background in structural design enables coordination between building owners, design professionals including architects and engineers, roof consultants, contractors, and Building Officials to ensure placement of rooftop equipment on properly designed supports.
