May ASHRAE Meeting:
HVAC Design Practices for Zero Infections

Hello Members and Friends of ASHRAE,

Please come join us for our May ASHRAE meeting located at Lasso Gaucho Brazilian Steakhouse. Our speakers this month are Damon Greeley and David Rausch. They will be presenting on designing operating rooms for reduced risk of internal contamination events. Internal contamination events are those attributed to staffing, materials, equipment, process and surgical procedure configurations. The ASHRAE meeting and presentation will be on Tuesday, May 14th from 6:00-8:00 PM.

We will be having the meeting in person at Lasso Gaucho Brazilian Steakhouse off of Sunrise Blvd. To help us plan appropriately, please pre-purchase tickets on-line by following the pre-registration link.

David Rausch

David Rausch is currently the business development manager for the Healthcare and Research Markets at Phoenix Controls. He has been involved in many aspects of product management, product design and project design of specialty mechanical devices and controls within the Healthcare and Research industry for over 20 years. As an active member and distinguished speaker of ASHRAE, he has held executive positions in TC 9.10 (Lab Systems) and was a past Chair for TC 2.2 (Plant and Animal). He now is an associate member of TC 9.6 (Healthcare) and TC 9.11 (Clean Rooms) and speaks at numerous critical environment conferences throughout the year. He has a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering at Old Dominion University and an Associates degree in Applied Science / Mechanical Engineering from SUNY Morrisville, NY.


Damon Greeley, PE, CEM, HFDP, CBCP, EDAC, CHFM, A-IPC –Onsite, LLC

For over 20 years, Damon has had experience in research, planning, assessment, design, and implementation of healthcare infrastructure systems. He holds the following certifications and accreditations: CEM (Certified Energy Manager), HFDP (Healthcare Facility Design Professional), CBCP (Certified Building Commissioning Professional), EDAC (Evidence Based Design), CHFM (Certified Healthcare Facility Manager), and associate in Infection Prevention and Control (a-IPC). His vision is to continuously improve infection prevention in the healthcare built and operations environment through actively engaging innovation and creativity.
